This Return & Refund Policy explains how MDTCG ("we", "us") handles cancellations, returns, exchanges and refunds for purchases made on www.mdtcg.be. We are established in Belgium and follow EU consumer law (Directive 2011/83/EU) and Belgian law (Code of Economic Law – Book VI). Nothing in this Policy limits your statutory rights.
1) Summary

Singles & opened TCG products: No returns or exchanges due to high risks of counterfeiting, tampering and card swapping. This protects all customers and the integrity of our products.

Sealed booster boxes: No returns are accepted due to widespread counterfeiting/resealing risks.

Sealed products (other than booster boxes): Consumers shopping online have a 14-day right of withdrawal from delivery. You may return unopened, unused, resalable items for a refund. You are responsible for return shipping unless the item was incorrect or defective.

Defective/incorrect items: We’ll repair, replace, or refund according to law. Contact us within 48 hours of delivery for transit damage claims and within a reasonable period for hidden defects.
2) Items that cannot be returned
To protect against fraud and preserve product value, the following are final sale (except where defective/not as described):

Sealed booster boxes — even when factory sealed, due to widespread counterfeiting/resealing risks.

Individual Pokémon cards (singles) — all conditions and rarities.

Opened/used trading card products (e.g., ETBs, booster packs/boxes, tins, bundles) once any outer seal/shrink is broken.

Mystery lots, random pulls, breaks and similar chance‑based items.
-
Downloadable/digital items, gift cards, discount codes.
These restrictions do not affect your legal warranty rights for defective goods.
3) Right of withdrawal (distance sales)
If you are a consumer (non‑business) purchasing online, you may cancel your order within 14 calendar days after you (or a person you designate) received the goods, without giving any reason.
Conditions for withdrawal on sealed products:

Item must be unopened, in original packaging, unused, and resalable.

Include all accessories, promos and factory seals/shrink.

Handle packaging with care to avoid damage.
How to exercise your right:

Email info@mdtcg.be with your order number within 14 days of delivery. You may use the EU withdrawal template if you wish.

We’ll provide an RMA number and return instructions.

Ship the item(s) back within 14 days after notifying us.
Refunds:

We refund the item price and the standard outbound shipping (if the entire order is returned). Any extra paid delivery (express, Saturday, etc.) is not refunded.

Return shipping is at your cost unless we sent the wrong item or the item is defective.

We may deduct any diminished value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
Exclusions from withdrawal:

Sealed booster boxes (final sale — fraud prevention).

Unsealed items not suitable for return due to the nature of the product (e.g., trading cards once packaging is opened),

Custom/personalised items,

Other exceptions under Article 16 of Directive 2011/83/EU / Book VI, Art. 53.
4) Defective, damaged, or incorrect items
We aim for perfect condition, but if something goes wrong:

Transit damage/shortages: Contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the parcel, shipping label, inner packaging, and item. Keep all packaging for carrier inspection.

Incorrect items sent: Contact us within 7 days. We’ll provide a pre‑paid return label or arrange a replacement.

Manufacturing defects / legal warranty: Consumers benefit from the statutory conformity guarantee. Contact us with evidence of the defect; we may inspect and, if confirmed, offer repair, replacement, or refund.
5) Return shipment requirements

Use a tracked, insured shipping method and pack items securely (rigid toploader/box for cards, protection for sealed items).

Include the RMA number inside and outside the parcel.

You are responsible for returned goods until we receive them.
6) Refund method & timing

Refunds are issued to the original payment method (PayPal/Mollie/card) within 14 days of our receipt and inspection of the return, or earlier when we verify dispatch (we may withhold refund until goods are received or proof of return is provided).

If your card or account is closed, processing may take longer; we’ll assist where possible but cannot accelerate bank processing times.
7) Exchanges
We do not offer direct exchanges. Please place a new order and return eligible items under this Policy.
8) Cancellations & pre‑orders

Before shipment: You may request cancellation. If already picked/packed, a small handling fee may apply.

Pre‑orders: You may cancel before release/dispatch. If we have secured stock specifically for your order, we may charge up to 5% to cover non‑recoverable fees.

Delays from the manufacturer/distributor are outside our control; estimated release dates may change.
9) Business customers
Orders placed with a company/VAT number are treated as B2B. The consumer right of withdrawal does not apply. All B2B sales of singles and opened TCG products are final. Defects are handled according to contract and applicable law.
